The 2026 selection

Meet our partner winemakers

We work with independent winemakers whose wines tell the story of a terroir as much as the skill behind them. One of them might just make your next favourite wine!

Six of them in the spotlight: winemakers who grow their own grapes and make their own wines.

De battre mon cœur s’est arrêté · 2025 Portrait de Hervé Bizeul

Roussillon · Clos des Fées

Hervé Bizeul

A former sommelier turned winemaker, he founded Clos des Fées in Vingrau in 1998 with his wife Claudine. His Syrah grows on a schist slope at an altitude of 600 metres.

In the calendar: De battre mon cœur s’est arrêté · 2025

‘Dark fruit, liquorice and a hint of violet, carried by a freshness found only in high-altitude wines.’A word from the sommelier
Silice Blanc · 2025 Portrait de Brice Omont

Savoie · Domaine des Ardoisières

Brice Omont

An agricultural engineer from Champagne, he has run this winery since 2010. It was founded in 1998 on the schist slopes of Cevins. Here, the vines are tended entirely by hand using biodynamic methods.

In the calendar: Silice Blanc · 2025

‘Citrus and green apple on the nose, with a lively palate driven by an almost chalky minerality.’A word from the sommelier
Nuits-Saint-Georges · 2023 Portrait de Philippe & Vincent Lécheneaut

Burgundy · Domaine Lécheneaut

Philippe & Vincent Lécheneaut

In 1985, the two brothers took over their father’s vines in Nuits-Saint-Georges. To this day, they make wine only from grapes grown on their own vines, without buying in any fruit.

In the calendar: Nuits-Saint-Georges · 2023

‘Fresh cherry and raspberry on the nose, a floral hint, fine tannins and the poise that marks out the great wines of Nuits-Saint-Georges.’A word from the sommelier
Morgon Old Vines · 2024 Portrait de Jean-Paul & Charly Thévenet

Beaujolais · Villié-Morgon

Jean-Paul & Charly Thévenet

The family has been growing Gamay for four generations. A member of Beaujolais’s ‘Gang of Four’, Jean-Paul now makes his wines with his son Charly from vines up to 70 years old.

In the calendar: Morgon Old Vines · 2024

‘Red fruit, leather and a hint of spice. A rich Morgon that never loses its freshness.’A word from the sommelier
White Sancerre · 2025 Portrait de Michel, Philippe & Benoît Girard

Loire · Domaine Michel Girard & Fils

Michel, Philippe & Benoît Girard

In Verdigny, in the heart of Sancerre wine country, the winery has been passed down through the family for seven generations. Michel Girard now runs it with his sons, Philippe and Benoît.

In the calendar: White Sancerre · 2025

‘Citrus and white flowers on the nose, with a fresh, mineral palate that stays taut through to the finish.’A word from the sommelier
Les Escures · 2025 Portrait de Fabien Jouves

Cahors · Mas del Périé

Fabien Jouves

In 2006, he took over the family vineyard in Trespoux, on the hills above Cahors, and began making wine from his grapes himself. The winery is now certified biodynamic.

In the calendar: Les Escures · 2025

‘Blackcurrant and blackberry on the nose, with a full-bodied, rounded palate but none of the heaviness sometimes associated with Cahors.’A word from the sommelier

What’s in the calendar?

The calendar is designed to take you on a true tasting journey over 24 days. It contains:

  • A festive presentation box that protects the wines from light and changes in temperature.
  • 24 vials of French wine, each containing 100 ml, or 2 tasting glasses per vial.
  • 2 Lehmann tasting glasses to help you appreciate every aroma.
  • A 64-page tasting journal for recording your impressions and learning the art of wine tasting.
When will I receive my calendar?

Delivery is guaranteed before 15 November, well before you open the first door on 1 December. If your order contains other products, everything will be shipped together.

Who are the winemakers in this calendar?

24 wineries across 10 regions, from the Loire to Roussillon and from Savoie to the South-West, most of them family-run. Six are featured on this page; the other 18 are waiting to be discovered behind the doors, one by one.

How are the wines selected?

Our selection is the result of a rigorous process led by a panel of experts, including a Best Sommelier of France and a Best Craftsman of France. To earn a place in the calendar, each wine must meet three criteria:

  • Its quality is recognised by our experts and confirmed by awards.
  • Its winery has a unique story and a strong commitment to the environment.
  • It is representative of its region and appellation.
Will wine connoisseurs enjoy this calendar?

Absolutely. The selection combines well-known names with lesser-known winemakers, giving seasoned wine lovers the chance to discover wines they’ve never tasted before. And with the journal and video masterclasses, beginners can learn to taste wine and develop their palate, one wine at a time.

How many glasses are in a vial?

Each vial contains 100 ml of wine, or 2 tasting glasses of 50 ml: the ideal amount in a professional INAO glass. You can share each wine with someone or enjoy it over two evenings.

How long do the vials keep?

Our partner uses technology that transfers the wine from bottle to vial without any contact with air, so your vials keep perfectly for years. You can enjoy the wines in your calendar at your own pace.

Why don’t the vials have cork stoppers?

Our vials are sealed with aluminium screw caps. Numerous studies show that this technology preserves wine more effectively than cork: it guarantees no cork taint, consistent permeability and the ability to store the vials in any position.

How does it differ from the 24 Wines of France and the World calendar?

Both calendars cost the same and follow the same format: 24 vials, 2 tasting glasses, a journal and a video masterclass. 24 Wines of France takes you through France’s wine regions to meet 24 French winemakers. 24 Wines of France and the World starts in France’s great terroirs before travelling to vineyards abroad.
